On Nights As These

On nights as these horror could come, or a wedding of Faery, or ghosts of giggling children. Omnis verus, omnis occuro. It is all true, it is all happening.

The seer today is a shaman to corpses. Belief in worlds other than the sickening mundane existence lying at the matrix of the political system which, through buying and selling, controls all who believe in its precepts, has all but left us entirely. Yet…

On nights as these I am beckoned by an unseen host—and I do not speak figuratively, nor do I seek to entertain with my words. On such nights my soul is at peace, for I have been called and given ears to hear, and eyes to see. I am kept safe from all harm behind the invisible wall where I revel secretly with dancing nomads and itinerants whose work is not to attain power through things, but ideas which expand, when they are full of vision, into realities never before known.

On nights as these I know the solace of the promised kingdom. Who walks with me must walk in fire, seeking out all creatures of twilight.
